SASSA Status Check Appeal for R350

SASSA status check is a process that can be performed on different platforms and methods. You can choose whichever method is convenient for you to confirm the status of your R350 appeal.

Official SASSA website

You can visit the official SASSA website at https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status to check your status. This website is designed to provide the R350 status. By clicking on the URL, you will be redirected to the official SASSA website where you will be required to enter your ID and phone number. You will then get your SASSA grant status in real time.

SRD Grant application ID (App ID)

Another option is using your SRD grant application ID. If you are not sure what your application ID is, then check your email address that you used during your registration with SASSA. You can also visit the SASSA website, enter your ID number and phone number to receive your application ID. Then, visit the SASSA website, click on ‘Get COVID-19 SRD Grant Details’, and enter the 6-digit application ID to get your status.

WhatsApp number

You can also use the official SASSA WhatsApp number to check your appeal status. Open your WhatsApp account and dial 082 046 8553 to start a new conversation. Send your application ID and full name in the chat. The representative on the other end will answer your message with your grant appeal status result.

USSD code

SASSA also has a dedicated USSD code that allows applicants to check their application status. Dial *120*69277# on your phone. A pop-up window will open on your phone with options regarding your grant status. You will be required to enter your SASSA application ID and phone number then press the ‘Check’ button to receive an SMS about your SRD status.

SASSA SRD R350 app download

You can also install the SASSA official app on your phone available on Google Play Store for Android users and Apple store for iPhone users. Search for the ‘SASSA SRD R350 App’ and download it. Once the application is installed on your device, open it and check your status.

Different statuses and what they mean

Appeal pending – this means that your appeal application is still under review and results are yet to be finalized.

  • Appeal approved – your appeal is successful and you are eligible for grants.
  • Appeal declined – it means that after appealing, you were found to still be ineligible for the grant.

Conclusion

Knowing how to check your SASSA R350 appeal status helps you stay informed and take action if needed. With various platforms like the official website, app, USSD code, and WhatsApp, checking your appeal outcome is now easier and more accessible than ever. Always ensure you use official channels and keep your application details handy.
